Smith & Wesson Tactical Watch Line Now with Tritium; Safe New Technology Glows in the Dark for 25 Years

December 8, 2004

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2004--Smith & Wesson (AMEX: SWB), the legendary 152-year old firearms manufacturer, has added several new tritium watches to their Tactical Watch collection by Smith & Wesson licensee CampCo, Inc. of Los Angeles, California. The hands and number markers of these rugged watches will glow brightly and continuously for 25 years outside in the dark or in any dark room. "Tritium is a low-level radioactive chemical that has been combined with phosphors to create the famous "green glow," is completely safe and is widely used by the military and law enforcement," Motti Slodowitz, President of CampCo indicated. "The levels used in watches today are a small fraction the maximum human exposure level set by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission."

The new Tritium Tactical models feature a precision quartz Swiss component movement in a stainless steel case with a scratch resistant mineral hardened crystal and screw down crown. All have a rotating bezel and a red colored marker at the 12 o'clock position. The date also rotates at the 3 o'clock position. The Smith & Wesson Tactical Watch line with tritium all have a 4-year battery and one-year unconditional warranty. They each come in an elegant bullet-proof style gift box. These hard-working, handsome watches are the perfect accessory for law enforcement, military, or anyone that demands a functional time piece in harsh environments and low light conditions. The Smith & Wesson Tactical Watches are water resistant and perform to 200 meters. They are available with a stainless steel, titanium, black rubber or black nylon band and retail from $175 to $250.
